As of 2023-4, BCRCD is one of 25+ special districts, local governments and nonprofits who are helping re-design Butte County's Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP). An up-to-date LHMP is a requirement to keep our county eligible for FEMA funding. The 2-24 process is expeccted to be concluded on 9/30/24.
BCRCD is committed to making sure the final document reflects a clear-eyed assessment of the hazards facing Butte County's farmers, ranchers, rural residents, and all the amazing native species we share this beautiful place with. That includes our precious spring-run Chinook salmon in Butte Creek.

Butte County Resource Conservation District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Butte County Resource Conservation District
