Kicking Out Invasive Weeds

May contain: plant, blossom, flower, and asteraceae
Yellow star thistle can suck the life out of pastures and oak woodlands, reducing the water available to native species by 15-25%.

In partnership with the Butte County Ag Commissioner's office and many local land managers, we help support the Butte County Weed Management Area.  By facilitating regular meetings, we help Butte County parks, cities, foresters and farmers stay eligible for funding to eradicate invasive weeds.  Invasive weeds cost farmers and ranchers money, they use billions of gallons of water a year, they can intensify wildfires, and they usually aren't good habitat for native wildlife.
